After a long enforced rest because of the Covid pandemic, as passionate musicians we are really overjoyed to be able to come together to sing again! We are looking forward to some wonderful music making and hoping that our audiences will be excited to hear beautiful singing performed live again!
Our first concert took place on Sunday 12th December at St Nicholas’s Church in Brighton. A large audience really enjoyed a gorgeous programme of acapella music for Christmas. Poulenc’s Four Christmas Motets were featured, together with pieces by Mendelssohn, Whitacre, Lauridsen, Pearsall, Joubert, Arnesen, Willcocks and Rachmaninov.
We are now planning and rehearsing for further events during 2022, which we are delighted to announce is our 25th Anniversary year.
A very special concert is scheduled for March 27th at St Paul’s church in West Street. Three composers who have all been closely associated with the choir have composed pieces specially for this anniversary event: Michael Finnissy, Rob Lane and Guy Richardson. The programme also includes Bach’s Komm Jesu Komm and Parry’s Songs of Farewell.
