Our concert on Sunday March 27th, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the choir, was a great success. The programme was challenging, including three pieces specially composed for this occasion by Michael Finnissy, Rob Lane and Guy Richardson. We really enjoyed learning these new works and hope to sing them again in the future. An enthusiastic audience showed their appreciation for these and for the Bach motet and Parry’s Songs of Farewell. Celebratory cake and fizz went down well in the interval.

After Easter the choir will start rehearsals for a concert on July 3rd. We return to the lovely barn at the Court Garden Vineyard in Ditchling. “Pastime with Good Company” will be conducted by Elizabeth Woodhouse and will include settings of madrigals and folk songs with other surprises as well as a wind band. Do put the date in your diaries. Details of timings and tickets will follow.
